Trusted forecasts at your fingertips with BOM Weather app
BOM Weather, the Bureau of Meteorology's official weather app, is now available for download through the App Store and Google Play.
Director of Meteorology Dr Andrew Johnson said the app is continuously updated with data from the Bureau's Australia-wide observing and forecasting network.
"BOM Weather gives smartphone users current temperature, wind and humidity and the chances of rain throughout the day, for any location in Australia, at their fingertips," Dr Johnson said.
"It also provides users with the latest images from our popular rain radar, current weather warnings, the Bureau's official three-hourly forecasts for the day and also forecasts for the week ahead.
"We have focused on developing a simple, easy-to-use app, so you can quickly find the most-requested data from our website.
"BOM Weather supplies the weather information most people want to access quickly and easily so they can plan their day."
Users can view weather information for their current location, favourite locations and other capital cities.
The Bureau is encouraging users to provide feedback and suggestions to improve the app, so new features can be added in future upgrades.
