Bureau issues climate outlooks for February to April

The outlook indicates:

  • Drier than average likely in much of central and southeast Australia; wetter conditions likely in northwest Western Australia and northern Northern Territory
  • Warmer than average temperatures likely across eastern Australia; cooler than average likely in the northwest
  • The El Niño–Southern Oscillation and Indian Ocean Dipole remain at neutral, but localised climate influences include an active monsoon in the north
