Climate outlooks for September to November 2016

Monthly and seasonal Climate Outlooks for September to November 2016 are now available on the Bureau's website.

  • Rainfall is likely to be above average across parts of northern Australia. Elsewhere, the chances of a wetter or drier spring are roughly equal.
  • Warmer days are likely across Australia, except eastern NSW and southern Queensland. Warmer nights are likely for most parts of Australia.
  • Climate influences include a weakening negative Indian Ocean Dipole, and a tropical Pacific Ocean slightly cooler than average.
