The Bureau of Meteorology is warning that strong cold fronts are forecast to bring damaging winds to south-eastern Australia from today.

Strong to gale force winds averaging 60-70km/h and peak gusts of 90-110km/h are forecast.

Winds will be strongest across Victoria on Monday evening, continuing overnight before easing somewhat on Tuesday. Another cold front is forecast to affect the southeast Australia on Wednesday.

The first cold front is forecast to affect South Australia and Victoria, with strong to gale force winds (averaging 60-70 km/h and peak gusts of 90-110km/h) across most of Victoria, the ranges north of Adelaide in South Australia, with southern New South Wales and Alpine regions also affected.
