Update on networking issue affecting Bureau systems

The Bureau of Meteorology experienced a physical networking issue which affected its systems for several hours through the morning of 8 January 2016.

The fault has been rectified and most services are now operating as normal. There may be minor delays in the upload of some data over the next few hours.

The Bureau has contingency arrangements in place and continued to provide priority meteorological services to aviation and emergency services through the outage.

Members of the public visiting the Bureau's website may have noticed delays in observations data. The Bureau regrets any inconvenience that may have been caused by the outage and is working hard to avoid any further disruption.
