Fire weather meteorologist, Alex Melitsis, from the Bureau of Meteorology in Tasmania discusses:

- Prolonged period of high temperatures until Friday
- Elevated fire dangers in some areas, particularly Tuesday and Wednesday
- Cooler conditions on the weekend
- Significant rainfall is not expected
