AUDIO NEWS RELEASE: Abnormally high tides forecast

Bureau of Meteorology Meteorologist, Alex Melitsis, discusses:

- Abnormally high tides will occur during the coming days, with localised inundation expected along southern coastlines and tidal rivers between Strahan and Swansea.

- A Severe Weather Warning for Abnormally High Tides will be issued on Friday.

- During these times, susceptible roads and low-lying areas may briefly experience inundation, so it is important people with susceptible properties or infrastructure prepare for localised inundation.

- Reminder to monitor any severe weather warnings.
